Christoph Heim is committed to making this website and the HappySad app accessible in accordance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.2) at level AA.

Conformance Status

This website is largely conformant with WCAG 2.2 Level AA. The following measures have been implemented:

  • Semantic HTML with correct heading hierarchy
  • Full keyboard operability of all interactive elements
  • Visible focus indicators (3px solid, 2px offset)
  • Touch targets of at least 44×44px (WCAG 2.5.8)
  • Skip link to main content
  • Color contrast ratios meeting AA requirements (at least 4.5:1 for text)
  • Manual high-contrast mode via toggle
  • Respects prefers-reduced-motion — all animations are disabled
  • Respects prefers-contrast: more
  • Four languages with full RTL support for Arabic
  • Self-hosted fonts (no external loading)
  • ARIA attributes for hamburger menu, contrast toggle, and language switcher

Known Limitations

  • Decorative illustrations in the phone mockup are not accessible to screen readers (intentionally hidden via aria-hidden as they are purely decorative).
